We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Sydney, focusing on post-trade regulatory reporting across multiple global jurisdictions. The role will play a key part in delivering solutions for ASIC, MAS, MiFID, CFTC, and other OTC derivatives reporting regimes.

You will work closely with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, adaptability, and client engagement are crucial.

Responsibilities of this key role

As a Senior Business Analyst in our Sydney team, you’ll be the trusted partner guiding clients through the complexity of global regulatory reporting. We’ve built strong tools and frameworks, so your focus is on high-value work: analyzing data, interpreting evolving rules, and shaping practical solutions. Expect to engage with clients at every level of seniority and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to deliver clarity and confidence in an ever-changing regulatory landscape.

This role depends on excellent communication, flexibility, and an enterprising attitude and these tops responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and regulatory requirements for OTC derivatives reporting.

  • Analyze complex client datasets to support regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Translate regulatory and industry guidelines into actionable technical specifications.

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams, contributing to process improvements.

  • Liaise with clients to understand operational workflows and ensure compliance with multiple regimes (ASIC, MAS, MiFID, CFTC, etc.).

  • Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory change initiatives and reporting frameworks.

  • Interpret new and evolving regulatory requirements and assess their impact on clients’ reporting processes.

  • Conduct impact assessments, gap analysis, and solution validation to support project delivery.

  • Act as the bridge between clients, technology, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Job Requirements

About you

You thrive in a client-facing environment and is comfortable working on-site with our Sydney clients when needed. You bring a strong background in banking regulatory reporting, coupled with the ability to adapt quickly as requirements evolve. Your interpersonal skills allow you to navigate both internal and external stakeholders with ease, ensuring collaboration and clarity in a fast-moving environment.

Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, preferably within major banks or financial institutions.

  • Strong background in OTC derivatives post-trade reporting across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Demonstrated experience working in client-facing roles, with strong communication and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Skilled in business analysis methodologies: requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution documentation.

  • Proven track record of delivering complex regulatory projects on time.

  • Work effectively in an Agile environment, contributing to iterative delivery and continuous improvement.

  • Operate with flexible working hours when needed to accommodate clients and regulatory obligations across global time zones.
